In reviewing my stats, however, I've noticed that many more people fav my work than actually comment on it. As a rule, I generally try to leave at least one comment when faving multiple submissions by an artist. Often I leave several comments. I always personally acknowledge every fav, and usually I will respond to comments (except for really general comments like, "Nice!" that don't require a response).
To date, I'm receiving about 1 comment for every 5 that I leave for others. I'm just wondering if this is the case with other contributors. Do you find that most of those viewing your work (especially nude photography) seem to be collectors rather than those who have a genuine interest in your work as art? I'm not claiming that all of my contributions have great artistic merit, but I'd like to think that at least a few merit some kind of serious appraisal. And I like to give feedback about aspects of other's work that I find particularly noteworthy.
Thoughts anyone?
